KNOW YOUR RIGHTS

As a society, we rely on law enforcement to police our communities while treating us fairly regardless of race, ethnicity, gender or residence.  Unfortunately, this may not always be the case and part of the solution is to find ways to bridge the gap between law enforcement and civilians.  In today’s social and political climate, it is important to “Know Your Rights” and in keeping with the times, the Big Apple City Chapter held a community talk with the students of Mercy College & Law Enforcement.  Fellowman Marcus Mack (of the Westchester Graduate Chapter) who is a police Lieutenant and retired officer, Fellowman Harold Reed Jr. (of the Central Jersey Graduate Chapter), were on hand to answer questions and speak with the students.
